Deformation of cancellous bone
As a part of a development of a new dental implant, a static stress and strain FE analysis has been done for four different material types of the colone of the implant. A whole implant has been fixed in a lower jaw.
Material models of the implant:
- UHMVPE
- PEEK
- Ti6Al4V
- β-titan
The study resulted in further proposals of changes in geometry of the implant for each material solution.
