The scope of this project was to provide endurance test of a stemmed femoral component of total hip replacement in compliance with international standard ISO 7206-4:2002. Needed holders of the specimen were designed and manufactured as well. Static mechanical test of the total hip stem was carried out and principal values of deformation were determined via strain gauges, which were stuck to the surface of the femoral component. To compare the resulted values of principal deformation a FEM analysis was made.
